leadership

Leadership is about creating voluntary action towards a common predetermined goal

The true art in leadership is in installing in others a passion for the task at hand. Passionate people do not need to be motivated.
A leadership tip.

Do you ever find yourself passing on orders from your superiors to your staff with the words, “don’t shoot the messenger, I was ordered to do this from above’. What you are really saying is “ I don’t believe in this so I will not be held accountable”. Then do you expect your staff to take responsibility and accountability from that point on. Let me give you a tip. If you don’t take responsibility, don’t expect others to. We are leaders all the time, in every action we take.

Leadership development is about many things, most of all it is about increasing our skills and being constantly self aware to ensure we are directing the right skill at the right time. Leaders with a heightened sense of awareness are more likely to take action and action is what we are judged by at the end of the day.

Start your journey by taking action today, not tomorrow, right now.

Make your first leadership decision by recognising that searching for the perfect program will mean that you will spend most of your energy chasing perfection. Perfection doesn’t exist, you will always find a reason “not to” if that is what you are looking for. Make the decision that this is close enough, with the knowledge that you can deal with any challenges that may arise. Great things always start with a decision to act.
